Our Organisation Structure

Catholic Social Services Australia is the Catholic Church's peak national body for social services in Australia. Our member organisations provide social services to over one million Australians per year, delivering services in local communities in metropolitan, regional and remote Australia.

Catholic Social Services Australia is a commission of the Australian Catholic Bishops Conference, reporting to the Bishops through a Board of 9 persons.

Our Membership is drawn from the Catholic social welfare organisations, operating under the authority of a diocesan bishop or a religious order, and from Catholic lay associations. Individuals and other Catholic social policy organisations that operate at the state or local levels are eligible to become Associate Members of Catholic Social Services Australia.
