Centacare Catholic Family Services Broken Bay

Since 1987 Centacare has been the public face of professional caring services and assistance provided by the Catholic Diocese of Broken Bay. Providing a wide range of services and programs from five (5) Family Centres (Brookvale, Gosford, Naremburn, Waitara and Wyong), Children's Services (0-12 yrs), and residential and foster care placements for abused and neglected children and young people. Centacare cares for 10,000+ children, young people, individuals and families each year.

Our geographical area within Diocesan boundaries includes Northern Sydney (including the Northern Beaches) and the NSW Central Coast.

Centacare programs are funded by NSW and Australian Governments through a number of Departments. These include the NSW Departments of Community Services (DoCS), Ageing Disability and Home Care (DADHC), Health, and the Legal Aid Commission of NSW. The Australian Government Departments of Education Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR), Families Housing Community Services and Indigenous Affairs (FaHCSIA), and Health and Ageing also provide funds to Centacare. Financial support is also received from Diocesan Parish Communities and the Australian Catholic Bishops Conference. Our relationship with other Churches in addition to private donors also provides valued support.
