Supplementary Listing (subsequent to 1st Edition November 1999)

A Piece of the Story describes the personal records that are known to exist for people who resided in centres operated by organisations of the Catholic Church that provided residential care. The primary focus in establishing this directory was to assist indigenous people to re-establish their family and community links as a response to the Bringing them home report. The directory can also be accessed by anyone who was placed in residential care with organisations of the Catholic Church. This includes former child migrants and those who were placed in the care of Catholic organisations and subsequently fostered or adopted.
